[ Terms & Acceptable Use ]
Last updated 2026-05-02
Welcome to Deadline: Outbreak. By creating an account or playing the game, you agree to the terms below. They're kept short on purpose - this is a hobby project, not a service-level agreement, but the rules still matter.
1. Account & eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to register.
- One account per real person. Don't share, sell, or trade accounts.
- Your in-game name and your account name must not impersonate real people or exist solely to harass.
2. Acceptable use
The chat system (when enabled) is for in-character roleplay and casual coordination. The following content is not allowed anywhere on the service - in chat, in character names, or in feedback submissions:
- Illegal content of any kind. This includes content depicting or facilitating child sexual abuse, terrorism, fraud, hate speech targeting protected characteristics, threats of violence, sale of regulated goods, or non-consensual imagery.
- Targeted harassment or sustained abuse of other players.
- Sexually explicit content. This is a survival game, not an 18+ space.
- Spam, advertising, or off-platform recruitment.
- Attempts to circumvent moderation - block evasion via new accounts, ban evasion, etc.
3. Reporting & moderation
Every chat message has a Report button and a Block button. Reports land in a queue reviewed by the operator within roughly 7 days. Possible outcomes: the report is dismissed, the message is deleted, or the offending account is banned. Bans prevent login but do not delete your characters - they just freeze in place.
If your account has been actioned and you'd like to appeal, use the in-game feedback form or reach the operator at the contact address listed below.
4. Privacy
We store the minimum data needed to run the game: your email (for login + transactional notifications you can opt out of), your account name, and gameplay state (characters, items, messages, activity events). We do not sell or share your data with third parties. If you delete your account, your characters, chat messages, and activity events are removed; moderation records (reports filed against you, audit log entries about you) are retained for compliance purposes.
5. The game itself
The service is provided as-is, with no warranty, on a best-effort basis. The world will be wiped, rebalanced, or shut down at the operator's discretion - it's a hobby project. Don't get attached to any particular character.
6. Changes to these terms
If terms change in a way that affects your obligations as a player, you'll see a notice on the dashboard the next time you log in. Continued play after a notice constitutes acceptance.
7. Contact
The in-game feedback form (sidebar on the play page) is the primary contact route. Submissions go to the operator's inbox.
Stay quiet. Stay alive. Don't be a jerk in chat.
